I had the privilege of working with Islam Gabi and the circus performers in 2005 – I never had the opportunity to hear his perspective in such detail – he is a dignified, wise and talented man – a true asset to mankind. I really appreciated the manner in which he prioritized the happiness of the children – his passion for laughter and entertaining the children was contagious. In his community you realize how to unite and survive moment by moment, and how to cherish every moment you have together. This personal testimony is a vital means of getting a morebalanced perspective of the occupation to the west. He is right action is as if not more important than talk – and laughter is a universal language!
